Z-Morh tunnel just the start of big J&K upgrade: Modi
The Z-Morh Tunnel, located on the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Leh highway in Jammu and Kashmir, is a 6.5 km long infrastructure project aimed at providing all-weather connectivity to Sonamarg, a key tourist destination, and ensuring year-round access to the strategic Ladakh region. This bi-directional, two-lane tunnel includes a parallel escape route and was developed under a public-private partnership model, with a total project cost exceeding ₹2,300 crore.
